I just wanted to say hello to all of the latest new members!

Welcome to the Sims and I hope you're all enjoying the game and having lots of fun!
My latest Simming news is that I (finally!) had a chance to try the TS4 demo. I enjoyed trying something different than TS3, but I'm still yet to fall in love with S4.
My biggest gripe is one that I've never heard mentioned: edge scrolling is sometimes a real pain to get to work! :s I find I have difficulty getting the screen to "edge scroll" at the bottom (it will not scroll if the cursor is placed on the graphic panel, it has to be carefully positioned just above the panel and the hour glass has to show up before it will scroll). It's also very tricky to get the screen to scroll at the two bottom corners (right and left).
For any of the new members who tried S4 or others who have the game, has there been any difficulty with edge scrolling?
I'm also really put off by how if you want to rotate the screen, you have to click that little camera thingy. I never realized how often the screen needs to be turned, zoomed in, etc until the navigation became so difficult
to do! :weary:
I did like that the loading screens were refreshingly short-lived and enjoyed the fresh look of the game. But the neighborhood view was limited, having my baby skip toddler-hood and age into a child was weird, :flushed: and I thought Buy Mode was lacking. There were no new fun things to try out. (And if my Sims ain't happy, ain't nobody happy LOL.) ;) Pretty much everything there is available in S3 (cupcakes, tea, etc).
I'm also an avid decorator in the game. So if I can't peel that old wallpaper off and splash my own paint on the wall, not to mention the countless other personalized changes I wanna make, I can't see it working for me.
I played three hours and wasn't enticed to play any more. Ugh. :frowning: I'm hoping I'll be drawn back into the game a bit more if/when I do actually buy it. I've read some really positive reviews about TS4, but I just can't seem to get into it as of yet!
Anyway, I wish you all a wonderful Wednesday and hope you're enjoying whatever version of Sims you're on!
