Hi everybody, my name's Danny. I'm a passionate simmer from Italy.
I started playing the game when The Sims 2 Castaway was first released and have been playing it ever since. Within the series my favorite game is definitely The Sims 3, but I'm not able to say which is my favorite Expansion Pack, because I just sincerely love them all and I believe that each one of them adds something different but at the same time as important in order to develop the game and make it always better.
What I love about The Sims is the simplicity of the gameplay's experience behind which hides the complexity of the whole game. Sunset Valley and Willow Creek are the perfect places to escape after a long day of work. You can pretend to be a sim and temporarily forget all real life's troubles: it's a simulation of reality, but an happier and easier one.
In my opinion, the best way to enjoy the game is taking it easy: no rush, no cheating, no challenges. I always start with a single family and I usually keep playing with it for months, sometimes for years, generation after generation, trying everytime something different and enjoying every single detail of the gameplay as much as I can.
Right now I only play with The Sims 4. I've bought it as soon as it was released, and I have to admit that at first I was disappointed: it was totally different from The Sims 3! The first months have been a proper challenge, but then, suddenly, I started forgetting what The Sims 4 was missing and appreciating what it had.
What I love the most about The Sims 4 are emotions. When my sims are sad I'm there, trying to comfort them with a silly joke; when they are angry I let them shout in front of the mirror or throw the rubbish bin; when they are flirty, I just look for Don Lotario.
You ask me what are my least favorite things of the game, but I'm not going to answer, because I've recently found out that you start enjoying the game much more when you stop complaining about it.
And so.. that's it! Nice to meet you all and happy simming!
