Okay, so I did some trials.
First, just a base sim that is mostly cc less. Except his eyes, which are default replacements.

I waited until he was thirsty and his eyes looked the same.

So my next thought was maybe the hair was causing some weirdness. But I have that same hair and nope. The same eyes.

He got very thirsty. Same eyes.

And it was when I messed around with contacts that I found some weirdness. Indoors they seem to mostly look fine.

But it seems, depending on which contacts you use and which lighting your sim is in that contacts might very well be causing the problem.

So I would say try to change his contacts or remove them altogether and see if that helps. Or just keep the demon eyes, because hey it's pretty cool, eh?
