*NO PRANK! Vampire to Demon? Is This Normal?? w/Pics

Hi, Simmers! This post concerns Late Night Vampires.

I had an event in my game and just want to make certain it is part of the normal gameplay. I don't play with the occults, so I have to ask those of you who do. Does a vampire turn demon-eyed and vicious the closer they get to starving to death?

I'm playing the 'Mixture of Good and Bad' household in Bridgeport which has the vampire Beau Merrick in it. Let me first say, I'm not the sort of player who kills, tortures or harms my Sims. I AM the sort of player who likes to push the natural boundaries of the game though (once I know where those boundaries lay).

Here's what happened:
I wanted to know how much nourishment plasma fruit gives to a near starving vampire, so I had Beau help me with a little experiment. He was approaching the yellow thirst bar and sent a wish for a plasma juice box. I put the wish in the save area for granting later because I was curious about the plasma fruit effect. When he reached the first level of thirst (I'll equate it with the Sims 3 hour hunger warning), he started heading towards the fridge to get a juice box. I canceled the interaction, he paused for a moment, then reactivated it and began walking towards the fridge again.

I canceled the interaction again, he paused again but became noticeably irritable. Once more he reactivated the interaction and continued walking towards the fridge. Since he was kind-of close to the fridge, I was thinking I would have to temporarily put it in the family inventory until his thirst bar hit the 24 hour deep orange/red bar. Once his bar reached the orange zone, he put up the 'drink plasma juice' interaction which I canceled again.

Well, I guess Beau had had just about enough of me toying with him so he stopped walking, turned to face me (directly where my camera was - just his head, his body was still pointed towards the fridge) and glared at me with large black eyes and an evil expression. Now, I am aware that a Sim will sport those eyes in CAS sometimes when you face them towards the mirror and I'm sure under some circumstances it may happen in game. However, there were no issues with his eyes only moments before this. Oh, he has CC contacts in. After he ate his fruit, his eyes and expression went back to normal and he became happy again.

**I thought maybe the light from the kitchen window had caused the effect since it faded his hair a bit. But when I compared it with other similar shots his eyes are/were never affected. So is this normal? Do vampires turn demon-ish from severe thirst pains?

    Great pics @pax1sw!

Thanks! You come across some of the most unexpected often really funny things in TS3, guess that's one of the reasons I love it so much. The vampire never bit her, he just scared the bejeebers out of her. All that toothy snarling and slavering, she fainted dead away. Thing is, it's possible she's the real monster of that couple. Think she's the Dragon Valley lunatic sim who's a great cook who manages to always have an abundance of meat for feasts on hand that comes from nowhere anyone can determine. Her kitchen's arranged so sims tend to get trapped in it. Dragon Valley is my favorite town, quite a few 64x64 lots.

Both of them were very determined to reach the fridge, but they didn´t give me the evil eye like your sim did (really awesome pictures). None of them is evil, though.

He flashed his teeth after this, but it was over so quickly, I couldn´t catch it.

I stopped him every time he tried to reach the fridge (no plasma fruit in his inventory) and he did a lot of his "brooding" idles. He´s near starvation here. I let him snack on his husband after this. :D

    No CC on this sim.

edited because I forgot a picture.

@pax1sw - Cool Pics! I think I would have fainted too :D! Hmmm... she has a healthy stock of meats you say? You may want to keep a close eye on your town's daily population count ;)!

@Waterdragon - Thank you. You have a very good looking vampire family. I really like the second picture, Uhlbert looks both highly annoyed and in a bit of contemplating thought.

Those are pics of townies that came with Dragon Valley, I didn't design either of them, and have never played them. If I remember, the vampire is evil, though, and the girl is insane. The townies of Dragon Valley are all interesting, guess that's why I love to play that town.

Your sims are great-looking. Well done! Vampires aren't my thing, though. I turned the Vampires option off shortly after I took those pics, the whole town was turning into vampires. LOL

Thanks! :) Just a lucky catch.

I know! In some of my DV games the townies kept vanishing, soon my town was half-populated. I'm evil, in this latest iteration, I deleted her before I began playing the town. As a result, this newest town is still full of townies even after playing it awhile. Before, with her in the town, they emptied out rather fast. That can't be a coincidence. :D
