No retirement option?
My sim just became an Elder so I went to look through the job options and retire wasn't there. Am I thinking of sims 2 or have I missed something?

I think you can only choose retire if they are doing the same job they did before they reached Elder status. Then they get the pension. If they have started the job since becoming an Elder, they can only "Quit Job" and don't get the pension.
