- I selected "2-4 years"; it's actually 2 years and a bit over 4 months, which technically falls into that category. I'd never played a Sims game till January 2020, when I saw it on sale on Steam and figured "what the heck, I'll try that." Then the pandemic happened and I became hopelessly addicted. I imagine my family and friends are probably planning to stage an intervention at this point.
- I got the main Sims 3 game in August 2013, not long before Into the Future came out. I remember being really excited for that pack as it came out a few days after my birthday and it was the first sims pack I got to experience when it was new, but before then I'd already been playing the Sims 3 on the 3DS for a while!
- WatrDragon3 years agoSeasoned AceStarted in late 2014, when everyone else was buying Sims 4. But people said Sims 3 was better (and it was complete), so I bought that. People were right! :)
I do play Sims 4 occasionally, but it´s just so boring. Tried Sims, Sims 2 and Sims Medival, which were all fun, but Sims 3 is the game I always return to. - I started playing in January 2018 when I found a good deal on a starter pack of Sims 3 on Steam after first signing up for a Steam account and checking out some other simulation games.
- aejp243 years agoSeasoned AceI bought it the day it was released in stores. My oldest daughter then was a year and a half old and now she's fourteen and going on fifteen.
I started playing the sims 1 after hot date was released. I was around 12 years old then and have been playing the sims ever since. The sims has carried me through my pre-teens, teens, and young adult years, and now I'm in my early 30's. It's crazy to think I have been playing the sims for this long. - I started playing the day the game came out and never stopped :) Tried the Sims 4 when it came out, hated it, and went right back to Sims 3 :)
- HillyPlays3 years agoSeasoned AceGuys! I've been a sims 3 member for 11 years TODAY! LOL!!!
- I have been playing the sims from the 1st day they came out. My Granddaughter got it for me for my Birthday. I have never stopped playing and to this day I sitll love it and having fun with them. I am now 81 and having the best fun of my life.
- NikkeiSimmer3 years agoLegendI love it when I can hang out and talk with gamers who are in my age range (give or take thirty plus years or so difference). I crossed the half century mark two years ago (yeah my wife tells me my mental age is two; I think she’s a bit optimistic on that point)
@Evalen - gaming I think is for everyone no matter what age. I’ve heard of people who are in their 70s and 80s playing hard paced action shooters, forming e-league teams and “teaching the young’uns a thing or two” on the “battlefield” so we can all play any game to our heart’s content. ??
Some like us prefer slower paced games like Sims 3 or city builders. . - @Nikkei_Simmer I also like city builders, I love the computer, I have been on the computer since the commadore 64, I remember when me and my husband played a game where you had to type sit on the chair, once it was a game and it said do you want to go straight, right or left, So I took the left and it said you have been killed by a lion, so I told my husband do not go left. Now the games are so real. but I have loved the Sims the best. I guess I will play until the end of my time. any way it does keep your brain thinking. Have fun with you Sims.
