Nraas Porter Keeps Crashing

@Avatarit - That may be too many sims combined with the content for the mod and the game engine to handle, especially if any of the households are very large and/or have very large inventories. As a test, not to really be used for anything, can you try a Porter pack with far fewer sims like say 15 or 20 to see if it works at all for you?

That's pretty early in the process to be failing. Are you certain that you downloaded the correct version for your patch level? And was the game paused when you attempted to Pack?

It's very important you're using the right patch number.

The red part shows the version number of the base game. So in this example, the patch would be 1.63. Pull up your launcher and check to see what yours is.

First of all, Twallan retired over three years ago. :/

NRaas is still alive and well and the mods have moved/are still moving forward but Porter doesn't need updating. The most common causes of crashing are using the wrong version of the mod for your patch level and trying to pack up too many sims all at one time.

But perhaps we could help you better over there.

Hey, @igazor I called for your help, but I guess you don't need to head over to the "what happened in your sims game " thread, as tropezia posted here too, and you already answered them! :)

I'm sorry to bump this old thread but I have the same problem exactly.
The funny thing is that yesterday I did mange to pack+unpack in another save, it was a testing and I manged to pack something like ~70-80 sims. But in the current save it's crashing once I click the "pack". I didn't change anything in the mod file... Is it possible that it has something to do with the save itself? What can I try to do different?

Edit: additional info: I might have packed yesterday when all the .EBC files=the store content was gone, I did some cleaning. Now that I try to pack in current saved game, the store content is back and I have a few EPs working as well. The households that I want to pack now are with store content and EP stuff and I don't want to lose it while moving them...

@igazor in the current save I tried different households with 3 sims only in them... .
Currently in this save there are no households with more than 8 sims. But the save itself is very bloated, to the degree it is currpoted I think, that is why I want to move some of the families to a new save. Also I don't know if it related but I played with Traveler before in this save, I don't really need the other world anymore, but is it possible that it is also related? These are the things that come to my mind that are different than the other save for testing in which I did manage to use Porter.
