I'll never forget how it felt to actually follow my sim as she got into the car pool, and drove to work. Other sims were out walking, or driving, and I was utterly fascinated by the fact that I could take my sim anywhere within the boundaries of the entire world, not just one lot.
And being able to go across the road, or next door to visit the neighbours was just so exciting. The whole town felt really alive.
I was quite young with an old laptop my uncle gave me that couldn't handle it. But this post right here describes my exact feelings when I first played it. The feeling of being free as a bird. I'll never forget running on the beach with my pet dog to the ocean and I was in another world like????? until it crashed and ended lol.
