Origin takes over Sims 3 when Sims 4 is installed

Like the title says I'm sick of Origin taking over my S3 game when I install S4 on the same PC. This has led me to have them on two different PC's and I'm fed up with that. I have Sims 2 on the Windows 7 PC that I'm having to play 4 on. S3 is on Windows 10 and I'd like 4 on that too.

Is there a way to have both installed on the same PC without Origin taking over my sims 3 game? I'd like to alternate between the two games. I'm on 1.67 so shouldn't need Origin. S3 all from DVD, S4 through Origin DD.

    Do you have auto updates turned off? Are you launching the game separately from Origin?

    I bypass the launcher and keep automatic updates turned off. Even if I need the launcher for store content then I use the game shortcut (not Origin). I'm also hardly ever logged in.

    Sorry I had moved this to S4 forums at EA and couldn't delete this. I updated that I did try origin on the win 10 PC and I couldn't even get S3 to start up, black screen then it collapsed to desktop. I have auto updates off for all games, and I tried both launching with origin and with the .exe shortcut on my desktop
