um - uh - oh my - Oh GOSH
You might try these easy clean-up tools -
Before killing off Sims...
First try changing households for a short period of time.
IF that does not work...
Try some or all of the suggestions listed below...
Well, unless you need a few good ghost in your game...
Try clearing the game caches.
With the game shutdown:
Open:
Documents/Electronic Arts/Sims 3
Delete:
(your game will rebuild these files the next time you boot up)
CASPartCache.package
compositorCache.package
scriptCache.package
simCompositorCache.package
Open:
WorldCache Folder
delete any contents you find inside;
DO NOT delete the folder, delete just the contents
Close up all the above and return to your desktop
Empty your trash
Clear your Internet Cache
Run Disk Cleanup
Defrag (if needed)
(never try to defrag a SSD if you have one, unless someone smarter than me tell you to, that is)
Run a registry cleaner
(I use CCleaner, but there are others that work)
In Game,
Click:
Ctrl+Shift+C
On your keyboard, all at the same time
In the blue bar at the top of the page
Type:
resetSim Sim Name (Sim Name represents the name of the Sim that is glitching or you are trying to get to respond correctly, use the full name of the sim here.)
Click:
Enter
And,
Last but not least
You might try this:
After clearing the aforementioned caches
Open:
the game; on the main menu
Duplicate (copy)
the game that is giving you fits
Open:
The newest copy of your game.
go to the house that was working improperly
See if it now works properly.
If not:
Click:
Ctrl+Shift+C
Type:
testingCheatsEnabled true
Click:
Enter
Click:
Ctrl+Shift+C
Type:
buyDebug on
Click:
Enter
Go to Shop Mode
With the cursor pointed at the axe (or whichever Sim or object that is acting funky)
Click:
Ctrl+Shift
A pie menu will pop up
Click:
Reset
Click:
Live Mode
Click:
Ctrl+Shift+C
Type:
buyDebug off
Click:
Enter
Click:
Ctrl+Shift+C
Type:
testingCheatsEnabled false
Click:
Enter
Or, head on over to the tech forum and explain what is happening in your game. There are quite a few folks over that way that are computer whiz kids...
Me, I am just a mere mom. ~smiles~
Good luck & ~happy simming~
(killing off simmies ~shivers~ lol)
