Seeking out art on various objectsOur game is filled with tons things that have great graphics on them - be it a sign on a
bookstore, an intricate vase or a dress with a funky picture on it.
RabbitholesRabbitholes are a great source of art because most of them are plastered with signs and posters. Here are some of photos I pulled off just some rabbitholes:

While your town already has some for you to inspect and photograph, if you'd like to shoot more than just those few (or go over all of the available rabbitholes in search of cool stuff to snap), go into "Edit Town" and find an empty lot to customize. Make sure to label it as "community" lot, then begin to edit. The size of the lot shouldn't matter that much as long as it's not 10x10 because it may be slightly annoying to position your sim and the rabbithole properly on such a small plop of land.
In Build Mode right of the basement tool you should find "Community Objects" section. If you don't know what to photograph, select some rabbitholes and rotate them around to see if you can spot anything on them that you like.
For demonstration purposes, I'm using Little Corsican Bistro rabbithole from basegame because of its Napoleon sign.

While the sign looks okay from the ground,

it seems a little stretchy to me because of the angle, also, the light seems to reflect from the sign at this angle, so I will try to elevate my photographer sim so he can take the photo more straight on.
You can edit the lot via "Edit Town", but once again, it's much easier to do straight from livemode if you're using "TestingCheatsEnabled on" cheat. Shift+click anywhere on the lot and choose "Build on this lot" or "Buy on this lot".
I'm building a normal 1-story structure with flat roof right infront of the bistro sign. Use "MoveObjects on" cheat, pick up your sim and place him/her on top of your structure, or shift+click it and choose "Teleport here" if you're in livemode with "TestingCheatsEnabled on" cheat activated.

From here the sign looks much brighter and also isn't stretched.

World objectsThere are plenty of world objects in the game - billboards, food and ice cream trucks, road signs etc.
Just like with rabbitholes, you can either find these world objects out in town, or drag them out of build and buy menus on an empty lot. They can also be plopped around town in "Edit Town" mode using the "World Editor" tool.
General note regarding world objects: In a mod-less game, world objects available in build and buy menus are quite limited. However, there are some mods that enable more world objects for purchase in your game.
Billboards and most world objects - those will probably be hiding out in BuyDebug menu ("TestingCheatsEnabled on"->"BuyDebug" ) and with buydebug it doesn't matter whether the lot is residential or community, so you can do this on your home lot.
Road signs - most of the road signs will most likely be in BuyDebug menu ("TestingCheatsEnabled on"->"BuyDebug" and with buydebug it doesn't matter whether the lot is residential or community), some road signs, Monte Vista ones for instance, will be hiding out in the "Community Objects" section in Build Menu, so the lot has to be community.
Food trucks - mainly found around town.
I selected some random world objects for me to photograph because I spotted some elements on these objects that I feel could serve as interesting art - a huge billboard from Pets EP, a Monte Vista roadsign, a Pets sign and the subway rabbithole from Late Night.

Since billboards are normally ridiculously tall, you will most likely have to pre-build some kind of high structure for yourself to take photos from.
I'll be focusing on the lady and her two dogs, so I've built a simple 2-story structure right in front of that part of the billboard.

How cute!

In terms of the other 3 objects, they photograph fine from the ground, so I only have to place my photographer sim infront of them and snap away.

Buy objectsA lot of furniture and decor have great designs and graphics on them. I pulled out 3 random objects from the Buy menu for my example: a potted palm from WA with a cool bull design, the snowman sculpture from the store with the Christmas-y night pattern around the base and the futuristic backdrop from Showtime.

ClothingSome clothing pieces have interesting designs that make great decor too.
Here are some lovely ladies who are dressed in some outfits I pulled out in CAS with elements I'd like to photograph.

This method relies quite heavily on your computer and graphics though, so if you feel that the graphics on the clothes are far too blurry/pixelated for your liking, this method will probably not work for you as well as others.
