NRaas has a page for rotational play. It relies on StoryProgression cast settings. See here. There are explanations for 2 different approaches. I think you should be able to adapt one of them to your play style.
I'm too much of a micro manager myself to ever try rotational play like that. I have thought about playing two households in different worlds vy Traveler, but apparently you lose wishes when switching that way which was a deal breaker for me.
