please tell me it'll be easier than

..trying to install an older version of origin?

hi everybody, i was redirected here from reddit on the advice that there are some active CAW users that might be able to help me out. i got it downloaded and installed after i redownloaded all my s3 expacs, but every time i try to launch it, i get a 'protected memory' error. from everything i've read, it seems like it runs easiest through origin rather than the stupid app, but i was praying someone might have a trick? i've already spent so long troubleshooting the base game install on a new gaming pc, after recovering my EA account in the first place, and i'm kinda starting to burn out.
