Actually yes, it is. The entire game's sensibilities (if you can call them that) are based on the idyllic version of fictional reality that were 1950s television shows -- it wasn't entirely like that for real back then either. It's silly, quirky, annoying, but can be fun to play through for those who welcome the additional challenges. :)
