Hi again, sorry I fell off the face of the earth I've had a crazy busy few weeks!
I don't have another TV sorry :/ The label on the back of the TV says it is 1080p and 50/60hz though but honestly right now I'm much more fussed about my game not working. It's gotten really bad to the point where it will crash after 10 minutes of play where I literally have done nothing but watch the sim sleep. I tried resetting everything and I am just now running the SaveCleaner to see if it helps. Maybe reducing the graphics settings could help too even though I really don't want to :(
An update: Obviously discovered savecleaner doesn't work with 1.69 so followed the tutorial to do it by hand. Didn't make a blind bit of difference but oh well. I managed to fix my monitor I think, I found a setting to up the refresh rate from 30 to 60. I put my game into windowed mode so I could watch the RAM usage on task manager next to it. However when the game crashed again throwing the same exception task manager said it was only using something like 2.9GB. I am confused and frustrated :( I am considering reinstalling it to see if that will help, because the game randomly deleted two of my saves. I was trying to save my game, I chose save as but just overwrote the name that was there and the game crashed but it completely wiped out that save and another one. So I'm thinking there might be some underlying pathology. I am seriously questioning why I spent so much money on this computer when it can't even do the one thing I want it to!
