Random Music Playing

So I'm playing my game. I get a notification pop up saying that there's going to be some kind of performance at the Performance Park, fine. Time passes.
Then, as I'm playing my family, a random drum beat starts playing, before developing into a full-blown tune. It only applies to my home lot. I can't embed a video, that would show you what it sounds like.

I googled it and various sources say it could be linked to the performance. I've never heard it play before, though, so I assume it's just some kind of glitch. I've never had any of my Sims be acrobats, so I don't know how many types of acrobat/magician music there are. I guess it'll stop soon enough.

    It sounded more mystic than circus-y. I don’t think the performance park was anywhere near the home lot. Plus performances are usually three hours... except this music started at around 8:30pm and was still going around 3-4am, so it was some kind of glitch I’m guessing.

    I managed to shut it up by going to Edit Town and then straight back to the household. It was very odd!!

    It´s a glitch. The music is one of the choices for a performance. Had it a few times, I usually restart the game, then it´s gone. Have to try going in Edit Town if it happens again.

    I had something similar once when I’d constantly hear the sound of a car, as if I was travelling with one (but I wasn’t). I restarted the game (which took 11 minutes at the time :s ) and it was gone. Pretty sure it’s a glitch.

    Were your sims playing a video game during that time?
    Are your sims living near or next to the performance park?

    Also how would you describe the tune? If it is a energetic or circus like tune, it's an acrobat's soundtrack (there's 2 of them). If it has mystic sounds, it's a magician's soundtrack (there's 2 of them).

    I've had music get attached to certain sims before. It just happens randomly, I've never been able to figure out what causes it. But yeah sometimes moving sims out and back in with Edit Town would fix it. Maybe next time I'll just try going to Edit Town and see if that works.
