I'm here to play the world's smallest violin for myself and hope that someone can either relate to this struggle or potentially provide some advice. When I was younger (14-15, I am now 24), I had the Sims 3 on a PC that I no longer have. I still have EVERY Sims 3 expansion pack on disc that I have kept near and dear to me. Over the years I became a console player and moved to PS4 (mainly to moving a lot and not having the access to a PC) and played Sims 4 on it with a few expansions pack I purchased. It wasn't until this month that I finally acquired a brand-new PC to call my own. My first order of business was to see if I could somehow access my old Origins account to get my old Sims 3 account back. Alas I discovered that Origins is now gone. My account details for Origin still work in EA but none of my old Sims 3 content is available. I then switched gears in hope to at least get the Sims 4 content from my PS4 to my new PC, but again, I was faced with disheartening when I learned that EA is not like EPIC or Blizzard where content transfers between all platforms. So now I have all the Sims 3 expansion pack discs, and a PS4 (that I don't really plan on using) with a few Sims 4 expansions and base game but cannot access or play any of them :(
Very sad... Might not even repurchase any of the base games for my PC simply because of how disappointed I am that I kept those expansion packs for years and they no longer serve a purpose.
Oh well, I guess?
