Seasons or Generations?

Definitely Seasons.

Seasons has the bigger impact on the world. Generations is little things that you can live without, but cant live without once they are there

Yeah, I'm thinking of going for seasons, but just a question about generations:
Does it add a lot to the game? Does it make it more realistic?

Yes it does. :) Generations really expands on the lifestages (especially children and teens) and makes them really fun to play with.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, I think I will get seasons instead

IMO Seasons adds so much that is missing from the game, you can't go wrong and you will probably love it :)

Seasons, love the snow and all the seasonal activities. I like to play families but don't like most of the stuff from Generations so you don't need it. If you use mods try NRaas's Tempest with Seasons. It allows you to determine how often it rains, snows, etc and the temperatures for each season for each game. So for example I have a game in Twinbrook (which seems a lot like New Orleans to me) with no snow or hail and a game in Hidden Springs with a long snowy winter.

Both? If not, then go with Seasons. I enjoy it a lot.
