-_- "No offense" Usually means you're about to say something rude/offensive. I didn't think that was rude/offensive, so... but there are also facial features. Which is why I said "for color and facial features" which means it includes color for hair, eyes, and skin (also it includes skin, hair, and eye darkness/lightness, so that's three more things. For example Star and Egypt both have orange skin, but Egypt's is darker because she got her mom's skin color and her dad's skin darkness, while Star got her mom's skin color and darkness) But it also includes eyes, nose, mouth, jaw, and head shape.
It's actually pretty complicated, ^_^ but it usually yields disappointing results, IMO.
Wow. I guess I never really thought of the skin darkness/lightness. I just saw the color and moved on, I guess.
Fsil. Newbie fail DX
It actually is a serious letdown. Especially the first generation when you have limited feature possibilies. For my Jones legacy, they all got their mom's lips, eye shape, and the girls got her head shape. Generation 1 always seems to start out bumpy :/ But there's nothing I love more than for the Gen 2's babies to have their grandparents hair and features <333
*facepalm* omg fail. I just realized why it favors the colors that are already in the family. Sometimes it uses recessive genes. So the gene pool from Star is much bigger, her babies are more likely to get her features and her colors, since her parents and grandparents also had those features and colors. That makes sense, right? So what I need is for the spouse to be a second generation sim, that way they'll have a wider gene pool. Gen 1 is actually the most balanced between the colors.
That is very true :3 I just remembered it but never really thought about your whole "gene pool scenario". :P
Better than getting recessive genes that aren't anywhere in the family (brown hair...really?), although I can see where it'd be irritating. I don't see a problem with changing the skin tone if necessary. And no one has to know, right?
ugh, that stupid brown/black hair! Such a troll!
