First, the ceiling lights don't look like they belong; they're modern and this is more of a traditional kitchen.

Secondly, your colors and patterns are all mixed up. You should decide if you want to keep the kitchen counter stone, or the blue tile, but not both as they don't coordinate right.

As far as your dining room; you area rug, your table and chairs and your floor all are too close in color and shade. I'd change the color of the area rug and use a bigger one so that it completely covers the area of the table and chairs. A lighter color for the rug is the best idea.
