sim stuck in bed and reset not working..
as the title says... my sim child was sleeping for the night and he has woken up but got stuck in the bed. i used resetSim... but all that did was move him out of the bed to next to the bed in the sam...

Twallan's debugenabler mod will help with this (yes, get overwatch to keep the spawning cars and homeless sims in check). My sims progressed from stuck to levitating to invisible. Debugenabler fixed those affected and the problem has NOT happened since.
If you're not keen on mods then see if you can go back to an earlier save (the backup for this game should be noted as that) and you may be lucky. Unfortunately the game seems to get corrupted and it doesn't always show up until it's too late and your sims are levitating (next stop, invisible). I found this that might help...

Try this procedure for retrieving your backup save games:
1.) Go to: My Documents/Electronic Arts/The Sims 3/Saves
2.) You will see a list of your game saves, one "regular" save, and one backup
3.) Simply delete the corrupted file and then right click the backup file and choose "rename"
4.) Remove the .backup portion of the file name and your save will be restored to the most recent backup.
