Sims 3 and Animal crossing

There's so much hype about the new animal crossing game new horizons. Do any of you know it?

I have the previous title new leaf and whilst I like the game, I think Sims 3 is much more immersive in my opinion.

I wanted to see what others thought but I've yet to see the two games being discussed side by side.

Totally just my opinion here, but there's more freedom in Sims to create and design your town/house, without having to grind for money. And the content in Sims is much more vast as well.

But I love the villagers in animal crossing and their dialogue, and the way they speak to you like a friend.

Any thoughts? These two are my all time fav games so would love to hear any discussions on the topic

  • You can play both... can't you? :) Take a simming break for the new AC. Maybe watch others play it to see if it's something you really want. AndrewArcade has been streaming it a lot lately on twitchtv.

I take simming breaks all the time for other games. I'm playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons and I love it. (even got a switch lite for it) Sims and AC both fall under the simulation catagory... but for me, they are separate experiences.

I have indeed watched a lot of youtube videos on it and it does look so much better than New leaf the previous instalment! But alas I don't own a switch and not sure I should be buying a new console just for animal crossing (I did that for NL and the 3DS)

I agree they're different experiences, and both have elements that I love like collecting furniture sets and decorating :)
