Sims 3 camera

Hi, I just started having this problem like last month. Sometimes if I go to a lot the camera wont go past that lot. If I open the map and try to go somewhere else it just takes me back to the lot I was on. I also cant go into tab mode for some reason. It fixes itself when I restart my game but I don't want to have to restart my game every time it does this. Going into buy mode briefly fixes it but it does it again when I go to another lot. It's only done it once in one of my save files, but right now I'm looking at different worlds and it keeps happening. Any ideas?
