I used to think the Sims 4 was better but then the more I played the game, the more gaps I found the game had. So as much as I didn't like the Sims 3 at first, it's base game was built so much stronger than the Sims 4. Plus it had toddlers and more family play activities, so of course I'll prefer it. Egypt and France I really love too so that being the first EP was impressive. Those worlds were massive and so detailed.
