Sims 3 mod question.

I hope it's okay to ask this here the TS3 section doesn't seem to have a mods forum like TS4 does.

Does anybody know of a mod that can remove the way pregnant sims walk? I really hate the way they lean back and would like them to walk normal.

Thanks in advance for any replies.

  • @Sharonia Shimrod has several flavors of mods that change locomotion animations for various life stages and occults, including one that changes pregnant Sims walk to the normal female walk.

    Thank you so much. <3
  • you can also use NRAAS Retuner, which can fine tune your pregnancies even more.

    City Hall/Computer > NRaas > Retuner > Settings > General > By Tunable XML > Sims3.Gameplay.ActorSystems > Pregnancy > kHourToStartWalkingPregnant

There's also other stuff in there, such as when water breaks, how long pregnancy lasts, when you get the pregnancy buff etc

I really hate the walk too and used retuner to remove it :P

I use returner mod too, even removed maternity leave off as I find them off work for too long after having their child.

Even use returner to slightly increase the chance of multiples. Triplets 3%, twins 7% chance so I may have a surprise instead of me trying to influence multiples.

Thank you so much. Is the NRaas Returner complicated to use?

It's a little intimidating at first but you'll be fine when you follow instructions :)

Mostly is going to by Tunable XML -> then where-ever, you can largely ignore most things.

If you need any help feel free to come ask I use retuner a lot and always happy to help

You can do some really powerful stuff with retuner once you're familiar with it, its worth checking the official NRAAS site faqs page for it, lots of tuning ideas there. A major advantage of using it is it cuts down on how many .package tuning files you need, instead of downloading a kajillion separate tuning mods you can just do it all yourself via retuner.

A few examples of things I've done with it
    Decreased alien visits/abductions
    Disabled zombies
Increased time Multitab takes to learn you new skills
Increased ticket price of ticket barrier entry system
    Changed length of pregnancy/pregnancy walk
Decrease any cheaty stats from store content all together, such as lowering chance of winning at slot machines and poker tables etc
    Changed chance of burglaries
    So much more

There's just so much you can do :) I 100% recommend familiarising with it you can really fine-tune your game to suit your playstyle and needs.

It sounds very similar to the MC Command Center mod from the Sims 4. I used that regular when I was playing TS4. Hopefully I can figure it out. Thanks again for all the help. <3
