Sims 3 Occult Free Game

If I were to play an occult free game, which packs would I need to remove? Or mods and cheats to use?

I was thinking of trying to strip my game down as lean as possible to reduce lag, but still have a full story to tell. I can think of plenty of stories that do not include occults or just use one occult. That led me to think about trying an occult free game. Or a game with only a single occult if it came in a pack other than Supernatural.

Does anyone run their game without Supernatural installed?

I heard that spawning occults are one of the things that cause lag. Is that true?

I have a long played save game in Riverview that I have posted over in The Sims 3 Creative Corner section but I will provide a link for you if you want to take a look at it. Riverview in my opinion is a small country town with rolling farming lands across the world. I quite like it myself.

I read a couple pages of your story. It is a really helpful playthrough for newbies.

I think Riverview might be the best world for me to try right now. I want to do some farming. I bought Grandpas's Grove on sale yesterday, or maybe it was the day before. I also have the Gardening Station, but not the Greenhouse. The Gardening Station cannot be used to complete the Greenhouse venue, so I am going to be really slow to buy the Greenhouse, now. I am not in a rush to buy the cows and chickens either. I always sold them in Sims 4 because they were too much work.

Can we grow grapes in Riverview?

Thanks for the suggestion to use Riverview!

I'm glad that you think that my story is good so far... :)

It's a nice little world to play in in my opinion and a great place for farming if you can find a good sized lot to have a farmhouse on. I have all of those as well as the cows and chickens. I sometimes forget to go out and collect the eggs after they have been laid...

Yes, you can plant grapes in Riverview just as long as you have the grape seeds. Now if I don't have the seeds, I end up going into buydebug mode and get what I need from there.

    You're welcome... :)
  • @Katofhyrule12 Katy Perry Sweet Treats is no longer available from EA. You might be able to get a copy on line but may not be able to get a key to unlock it. It is a stuff pack and doesn't come with a world.

Roaring Heights is a Store World. The roller coaster comes with the gold version of the world. Or I think you can buy the coaster separately. It is usually slightly cheaper to buy the gold version of the world if you want both. Sorry - got that wrong. It is the attire set you get with the gold version. It's been a long time since I purchased anything from the store.

Midnight Hollow is very dark and would possibly suit an apocalypse story. A lot of people install a lighting mod to play with the world. It is dark because the grass and trees and other outdoor objects are all painted dark grey as are the houses. I don't use a lighting mod but do replace the grass and plants with normally lit green grass and plants and repaint the house my sims live in. I tend to leave the rest of the world dark.

Aurora Skies has the early learning center and it tends to be slightly cheaper to buy the world and the venue separately. As the name suggests the sky appears to have a green aurora in it.

Hidden Springs has the Fountain of Youth. It was released before most of the other worlds. I think Barnacle Bay was the first store world released.

Lucky Palms is a desert world and has the wishing well.

Lunar Lakes is a futuristic world and has the Tree of Prosperity. It works well with Into the Future EP.

Thank you for typing all that out! It is very helpful information!

The Sims store is not working for me today. I hope it fixes itself, soon. I was going to try playing in Riverview, but I cannot download anything from the Store or the Gallery.

I did not know the Early Learning Center was connected with Aurora Skies! That is important to know. Thanks!

I think you get the roller coaster with any version of the world. I got the standard version recently and it came with the roller coaster. I think the gold version adds the Boardwalk Attire Set?

In the future, I really want to try a Zombie apocalypse challenge. I also want to try some type of dystopian challenge that does NOT include Zombies.

Good luck with a zombie challenge. I used NRAAS Vector to enable the zombie disease and my town turned into the undead very quickly.

All of them are zombies, and none of them can put out the fire.

Thank you for that. I got that mixed up. I did get the attire set but don't think I use it much.
