Sims 3 store content you couldn't play without?

I also wanted to say, I really wish that stuff like the pre-order bonuses were available to buy for SimPoints on the websites and especially the branded content that I missed, I’m gutted I missed out on more content because I didn’t get Sims 3 until 2018 lol…

I bought TS3 for $20 in 2016 and it came with the Late Night expansion pack. That pack is so much fun, I make almost all of my households in Bridgeport because it's my favorite map. I love the ability to make my Sims celebrities and/or vampires, there are so many aspects in that pack that make the base game way less fun to me.

I can believe that if you went through the store and added up the individual price of each item it could come out to that much. But nobody buys stuff that way. Even just buying sets will cost way less than that. And use of complete your set, daily deals etc, you can get a lot of stuff for way less.

I haven't added up all the money I've spent on Sims 3, but it's easily between US$1,000-2,000. Spread out over an 8 year period with thousands of hours of play, I feel it was a good value.
