That LTR does work. It more or less freezes the maintenance bar. The interaction to tune up is still there but won't affect the bar. On subsequent reloads or travel the bar may reset at 50% full, but it won't decay.

Did you know... that you can easily copy a CASt pattern onto another kind of object without even leaving CASt? Just set the pattern you have on one object as favourite, then go to the other object and choose the Favourites category. This also works very well to make each part of a dress have the exact same colours.
The highest my sims have won from checking lottery records is 3 million simoleons. That can totally change a game.
You don't even have to save the pattern in CASt. Just drag the pattern and drop onto the other object or clothing part, then choose which channel to apply it too on the new object. You can also select an object, grab the 4 channels all at once, and drop onto other objects.
edit: plantsims have an option to Absorb Puddle instead of mopping it up. This increases their water motive.
