Nectar recipes for optimal day drinking
Lately, I've been having a lot of fun with Nectar making. I've taken on sort of a challenge to create an 'Amazing' blend nectar with each harvestable for my day drinking sims. Ideally, I like nectar to give all four moodlets but without the age reversing effects so that was my whole area of focus. The biggest surprise was the dessert nectars with the cocoa pecan being my only amazing blend on the first try and the banana cocoa was a concept that took only minimal tweaking. Anyway, It's been a long time since WA was released so if these have been posted somewhere before and I come to know of it, I'll credit the poster. Otherwise, here are the recipes I had so much fun cooking up. I would also love to see recipes from others, if you want to share :) . Each nectar has a 3 Flame Fruit, 1 Life Fruit base. hello everyone! I'm writing this hoping to find people who still plays ts3! i play The Sims since I was a kid and most of the time it was ts3 but I've never had any friends on my profile, so I decided to check on here if anyone is interested in becoming friends in the game :) thank youuu580Views2likes21CommentsGardening - what do you plant?
In this game, I started looking into gardening after I had been playing already for quite some time. Which may be a bit surprising, given I had been playing quite a few sims in the science career, where the gardening skill is one of the metrics for progression. However, I mostly preferred to just read skill books in the library or, later, listening to tabcasts while fishing, cooking or writing a book. This means I had sims who had mastered gardening without ever having harvested or planted anything, let alone weeded, watered or fertilized. However, I started getting interested when it came to making ambrosia, and since then, I've slightly improved in this regard  . Basically, what I'm interested in, how do all of you deal with gardening? Do you do it at all? How do you set it up? And, last not least, what do you plant? To make a start, I just talk about what I do nowadays. In the beginning, I may just plant whatever I have, but I still often skip this phase by learning gardening theoretically. Given I use the Seasons EP, I pretty much exclusively plant indoors in whatever setup that is suitable. I generally do not plant cooking ingredients, with the two big exceptions being flame fruits and life plants. This doesn't mean I never plant garlic, tomatoes or potatoes, but if I do, I use them as fertilizer (garlic) or just sell the stuff. For cooking, I just buy what is buyable. I have never managed to finish the opportunity chain that leads to omni plants. Nope. I never got past eggs and cheese. Most of my sims know alchemy, which means those ingredients are a must in that case. The minimum are Wolfsbane, Red Valerian, Spotlight Mushrooms and Red Toadstool for the most useful elixirs, and to a lesser extent the other ingredient plants. I love the idea of the University Life herbs, and I often plant them, but when it comes to actually using them, I mostly don't do it. Not sure why. The same is true for the coffee beans. I like how the plants look  . I usually don't plant trees, given I do mostly indoor gardens. The occasional money tree may slip through, but I usually regret it. I never planted all those different grapes from France. I still have to use that wine maker, as I haven't even tried it. That's still a project for the future, as I tell myself I want to do it, but this hasn't materialized yet. As to the setup, I sometimes just use three plant bowls for life plants, or here what I did directly in the master bedroom of a family in Bridgeport, where someone is watering the plant on the pic: This here is the same idea, but the garden - on the upper floor no less - is separated from the bedroom. It even has a sprinkler  . The teens can fix the garden before they go to school: I also have used several greenhouses already, often, but not always, in combination with the SwiftGro Gardening Station. My latest attempt includes those sunflowers that produce "sunshine" as fertilizer, and the combination is as close as you can get to "official cheating", it's so good. You have to replant all the time though. Now, the layout of that garden is not good - it looks like that as it was born from the preexisting garden beds on that Moonlight Falls lot. Turning everything by 90 degrees would help with some of the shortcomings. However, in the end, it works. Still, you are busy all the time, so I finally succumbed and ordered the gardening service from a mod: I'm sure I forgot something, but now I'm interested in hearing how you deal with all of this  . Edit 2026: Old thread, but with fixed images, as far as it concerns those I have access to.2.8KViews1like92CommentsSims 3 Mega Edition?
Hello, I've been wondering about it for years now, especially now, but I wonder if we will ever get a Sims 3 "Mega Edition" that includes everything that it can. I imagine it including everything from the store, all expansions, every stuff pack along with sliders to turn features on and off before launching. The Sims store doesn't work very well and is always laggy, the Sims 3 needs dozens of mods to barely work, and for the steam version you can't play it on a steam deck. It would be awesome to have a remastered Sims 3 with everything we need, along with working for newer systems and the steam deck. I feel it would get a lot more people into the game that can't or haven't before. The Sims 3 is one of my favourite games that I've spent a lot of money and hours on. Buying physical and digital items. I honestly wouldn't mind to have everything all in one place instead of jumping between my physical copies and my digital copies. Many Pc's also don't come with a CD drive anymore, so it limits players in that way as well. The "Mega Edition" could also include graphical fixes for modern devices. It honestly makes the most sense to do for how old the Sims 3 is now. I think it deserves some love for being such an awesome game. It would also be cool if they included the world builder into the game since the version they have is hard to understand. It would probably be a bit of work, but I'd honestly be up to purchase a "Mega Edition" of the Sims 3 if it came to be.93Views1like0CommentsReason for Playing Sims 3
Hello everyone and blessed day! I am here out of sheer curiosity. Since the latest debacle with the Sims 4, I had chosen to go back and dust off my Sims 3 games and learned of the various mods to help me resurrect this game, making it playable/compatible with the latest graphics cards, etc. Now, I am curious to learn as to your reason of choosing Sims 3. How many of you have chosen the Sims 3 for any of the following various reasons: Sims 4 had too many bugs and you decided to switch to Sims 3 Sims 4 is unplayable as it either crashed, won't start up, or won't recognize DLC Packs purchased when installing lots from the gallery/library in your game so you switched to Sims 3 Research on the Sims 4 was found to have too many problems and so you decided to stick with the Sims 3 and not purchase the Sims 4 Research on the Sims 4 was found to have too many problems and since you never purchased the Sims 3, you decided it was wiser to invest in Sims 3 instead If any of you had chosen Sims 3 for any one or more of these reason, please feel free to share your choices here and please select the like feature of this post so I can get an idea/count as to how many have chosen the Sims 3 for these following reasons. My sim in Monte Vista has been going on dates, including going to the movies, which is pretty much the only 'fun' thing to do in town besides the Festival. But the movies don't seem to have much effect on fun, only a bit. Why? is there a way of increasing fun at the movies? Perhaps the genre? Which titles are the comedy one's? Ooh I just realised he hasn't tried a game or concert yet. Are they much more fun? Thanks.134Views0likes2CommentsNeed Some Honest Feedback...
Hello Everyone, Well, just recently I began to reinstall the Sims 3 after having been playing around with the Sims 4 for the past 5 or so years. But with the recent problems with that game, I decided to dust off my Sims 3 and got it all set up to play on my PC. Now, the question is... I love a lot of the content that is in the Sims 3 Store. Back in the day of the Sims 3 era, I was so eternally grateful to the short ad clips we could opt to watch to help us accumulate store points to purchase items/sets/Compilations... so I easily became a Sims 3 store junkie buying up a ton of their content over time. Coming back to it after all these years, I see there are still some sets I would just love to have but are not yet completed in my purchasing. I would love to buy them now... but... is it "safe" to do so? The game is nearly 17 years old now. With a questionable future of EA and the game being so old, I would be heartbroken to invest in more content only to learn EA might put the ax to this game. I know this is always a risk with any game... but to buy stuff so late into this stage of the game's history... is it safe to purchase more... or will I be basically throwing my money away on something that may soon come to a close?Solved390Views2likes11Comments
