For me, Sims 3 has become a real lag problem. At first it was just Island Paradise; now it seems to lag in almost every world, although I've played the game for several years with no lag issues until IP. It's hard to understand why the game worked fine, then started lagging months after purchase. If I hadn't had so many problems with lag, I would have invested more money in additional worlds and venues. My son works in the industry, so I know every game is released with bugs, with fixes planned for later. But not all fixes happen. Having played The Sims since the beginning, I think I've enjoyed Sims 2 the most, and certainly had fewer problems and far less frustration with Sims 2 than Sims 3. I will not be purchasing Sims 4. EA/Origin doesn't seem to have an interest in fixing the bugs. It was a much better game when it was owned by Maxis.
