I personally am excited for the game because this seems to be the most closely related to The Sims 2. I hate The Sims 3 with a passion. I have been an avid simmer from 2006-forward, I started with The Sims 2 and moved to The Sims 3. I only played The Sims 3 for about a year before I gave it up because of the lagging.
For The Sims 4:
- Supposed to run more smoothly on lower-end PCs which is a huge plus so I do not need to buy a new gaming computer.
- Social Interactions: Talk about Woohoo, pregnancy test, cry over birth of a baby bro/sis, etc.
- Chance to start fresh in the Sims series because The Sims 3 was getting boring.
Against The Sims 4:
- Removal of a ton of features including toddlers, family trees, open world, playable games.
- Possible other features that we have not thought of or do not remember that may not be in the game
- Losing out on all of the expansion packs that I have enjoyed; such as university, generations, and seasons
I was very unsatisfied with The Sims 3, it was my least favorite game in the series. I hold hope that The Sims 4, despite some of the lost features, will be able to bring back family style gameplay and show me how much I love the Sims series again.
