I had three major dislikes about Sims 3 - the very robotic like Sims (completely lack luster character programming), rabbitholes (don't want buildings in my game that is nothing more than a teleport spot, never mind be the size of 6 city blocks; and the third was the complete disconnect between worlds that came in EPs. I had to take content instead in every new world and add it myself to every world and if I moved my sims from one world to the new one - I lost all the things they had gained as if they were new sims but made with some skills as if they had no memory of living in the first world. I can understand worlds from the store not being connected, but not from eps. In Sims 2 many of the ep places were connected to base world via drop down sub world connections. In sims 3 there was zero connection but with Uni and WA.
Those things above made Sims 3 lose favor in my eyes even though it was beautiful to look at and fun for a couple weeks after new content - it lost that fun factor when I had to spend weeks after a new eps shuffling around lots and deleting others to add new world stuff into my game world or start all over in the new world. It was monotonious after a while.
