Sims 2 and Sims 3 - I only play Sims 4 long enough to play any challenge the devs offer - then go back and forth between Sims 2 and Sims 3. I have at least 6 games going in Sims 2 and at least 7 games going in Sims 3 - just 2 in Sims 4 - each is a single male household living in a tent, one is a teen and the other is a YA and I have aging off. I play just long enough to complete a challenge then go back to the games I enjoy.
My Sims 3 plays flawlessly by the way - and seeing I own all the packs and the entire Sims store - Sims 4 cannot even come close to content - never mind great game play. Also I have way more recipes than Sims 4 has, but some of my recipes came with different store worlds or store venues. Sims 4 has none of that. Clothing and hairs - Sims 4 has nothing compared to what I have with all packs and store content. It litterally takes me 5 hours with super fast internet just to redownload all my store content when I have had to reload my Sims 3 - due to upgrading my pc. I download Sims 4 with all it's packs in a total of 22 minutes. LOL.
But even though I have more content then I can use - it is not all the stuff but all the things for my sims to do, places to go, things they do and how they are. Sims 2 is best when it comes to playing with families, but Sims 3 is tons of fun too and I enjoy all the other parts of the game outside of family. The activities in Sims 2 and 3 are endless. It literally takes me days to go through everything - while Sims 4 I run out of things to do in less than an hour and it's just too repetitive. My fav play is adventures in Sims 3 and families in Sims 2 - I don't care for much else - and Sims 4 unfortunately offers neither for me.
So Sims 2 - still best over all (their restaurants, spas, down town, OFB blows away any of Sims 4 attempts at any of that.
Sims 3 a close second to Sims 2 because of it's fun factor, and amazing adventure play and my third favorite thing - Supernaturals and horses.
So I rate Sims 2 a 10
Sims 3 - a 9
Sims 4 - a 4 for being 64 bit, CAS and build mode as those are the only parts of Sims 4 I like - so far. Sims 4 has a long ways to go.
