- PalmArrow6 years agoSeasoned AceI just love both of these trailers unconditionally and completely. <3 I wish I was a sim so that I could go and visit these worlds!
- mrcsdasilva6 years agoNew TravelerBoth are super cute!SpoilerIt looks to me as if there's more content on Sims 3, though.
I also found the part of the mermaid for TS4 way more appealling. Not to mention that those sims ARE gorgeous (I love that hair that the mermaid has on). It made me miss having IP installed. :'-( - ZeeGee16 years agoSeasoned AceI like that s4 has dolphins, that’s nice. Also the mermaid’s tail is pretty, but what stands out to me is the personalities of the S3 sims! Gotta love ‘em
- Sigzy_296 years agoLegendTS4 trailer looks way more childish than the one in TS3 and the music just doesn't fit the theme of the EP at all.
That said, TS4 world feels much more like an actual tropical island. But I could say the same about Sunlit Tides, that it looks much better than Isla Paradiso. - What's new being shown in the trailer?
Dolphins, toddler's playing in the sand, cleaning up a beach and....?
It's good to always bring back past features but it's also good to have something MAJOR that's brand new to the series and I didn't see it here. I would think that would be the biggest selling point in addition with reintroducing features and content from the past. Otherwise, it's pretty much the same old, same old just repackaged differently. I'm not impressed. But I will say the variety in hairstyles are nice to see.
Personally for me, I love when things are brought back but at the same time impress me with something new and worthwhile. This is why I am not their target audience. :D I am not easily impressed and have played too many games over the years to hone my taste in quality and gameplay experience for what I find is important to me.
Not to mention. LOADING SCREENS GALORE! - mrcsdasilva6 years agoNew Traveler@Deshong04 How improved was Final Fantasy VIII? Do they sell on Steam?
Sorry, folks, for the off-topic discussion. - Not sure based on technical analysis but VIII being one of my favorite games it looked a lot better than the original as to what they showed so far. Though, the cutscenes look the same to me but maybe I just can't tell. Yes, it will be available on Steam.Spoiler

- They have still not made me go WOW, that is it!!....I gotta go buy that game. I did think the dolphin was cute...but that is not a reason to go buy a game. :)
It doesn't change that it is still a giant cartoon with plastique art style like the doll house I had when I was 6 and unrealistic textures that make me cringe. I'm not their target audience and I've accepted that.
Happy simming! If you want to read a lovely mermaid tale click on the siggy! (excuse the shameless advertising) ....and she and her sweet cowboy can dive under the water and it is not a rabbit hole and I can make cool dive lots for them and their story. - I came across this thread just as I am in the middle of re-organising Island paradise to my liking as it is one of my favorite 3 worlds where my sims can sail around the whole map, dive into actual dive lots and get involved in a host of other tropical island life activities such as boating/water skiing and even buy/run their own resort and I simply love the playability of this world however when I saw the new 4 island living I am prepared to give it a go as it looks so damn cute (especially the dolphin-) but I am not sure how much long term playability I will get compared to S3 island paradise :)
