There are plenty of new ideas for worthwhile features and not only Island Paradise/Island Living but any and all EP gameplay mechanics. It's not good to have such a limited imagination if one is working in an creative field such as video game development.
Just to name a few ideas that would only be pulled off on an game engine designed for in-depth gameplay of life simulation with the improvements and advancements over TS3 with today's technology.
-Proper cruise ships that actually stop at various locations and it would be possible to get left behind if you don't get back in time
-Underwater living (I suppose I'm thinking of submarines and exploring the deep ocean and having sea bases similar to Subnautica.)

-Mermaids from infancy to elder that actually live in the ocean and have sea life as pets and can be played like human Sims
-New careers such as a Marine Biologist, etc
-More sea life like whales, seals, etc
"TS4 has a lot of good ideas and a lot of poor execution."
It never was a good idea to lie and call the game TS4 and should of been exactly what it was designed to be...an online social game where you can invite your Origin friends into your space/server/whatever.
