I solved my "problem" by the family moving out and leaving the mom behind. It was just too frustrating trying to keep the relationship together. But it let me do something I've never done with my Sims before - break up the family. Noone seems to be missing her. And I don't know where she went. Maybe she stayed at the big empty house. *shrug* We'll see! Things are sure peaceful again and that's good. One of the sons in insane so that's fun to watch. Thanks everyone for your input. It's fun to see how others play!
