Hey Tacha, I would really recommend checking out the tutorial sections at Unbound. You can find out a lot about specific editing techniques. It depends on what you are looking to learn though. My favorite tutorial for cutting out sims is this (although images do not work) or this (along with the skin smoothing tutorial) Bliss has a youtube channel with some tutorials on skin shading and such, here is the skin shading tutorial that I used how to learn that and here is a hair drawing tutorial once you have got the hang of the basic editing stuff.
