So bummed, maybe need some help...my sim is constantly being falsely accused.

I have two Sims living right now in Twinbrook (I also now have all the expansion packs minus pets after that wonderful Amazon sale), both are five star celebrities. They are both level 10 in their respective careers. The husband is a chef, the wife in Medicine. Right now, she is getting falsely accused almost every other day, or this last time (when I threw up my hands and just quit) was both in the morning, and then that evening. Yeah she wins at City Hall, but I honestly can't figure out what to do. (tried chatting more, having people over more, throwing parties more, but NOTHING seems to be working) I don't mind it happening a time or two (she's over 10 in 2 weeks, and she's not "enemies" with anyone). I'm kinda heartsick over this and don't know what to do beyond moving to a different town. I'm not sure why it happens to her and not her husband (he mostly gets the "perks of getting noticed" but has only been falsely accused once)...

It just makes me not want to play...I get so frustrated...Like I said I don't mind this in the game happening once in a while, but so incredibly often is so frustrating. Anyone have any ideas, hints, whatever, I'll take what I can get...because I can't play right now, not like this. Heck I don't even want to start on my other characters if this is going to happen. TIA!

    Frankly, it's because of the celebrity thing. Personally, I'd use a mod to take the status away. When I put Late Night into my computer, I always make sure I keep celebrities away from my sims. I don't like that feature. Always causes problems.

    This bugs me too. I'm on here instead of playing because my celeb sim just got accused of being arrested or some nonsense. Again.

    I wish there was an option to turn it off, or at least that there was some way of limiting how often it happened. Not sure why some sims get accused all the time while some hardly ever are...

    My private suspicion is that non-friend Sims are spreading the rumors. The more Sims my Sim is best friends with, the less often it seems to happen. But either way it's VERY irritating. I use a Twallan mod, Story Progression, to turn that junk off (it's in I think general options --> friends --> celebrity options). I don't mind real accusations, but the false ones just seem to get worse and worse as time goes on.

    well if push comes to shove, you can use a cheat to delete it.
    type 'testingcheatsenabled true' without the quotes then go to their moodlet thingy, hold ctrl and click the moodlet (i forgot the name) to delete it.

    Yeah their relationships go down, but who needs those fake people anyways??

    I've had this problem too. I took out Late Night because of it and missed too much other things the pack offered so put it back in. If you turn story progression off at the start of a new game, the celebrity thing is very slow to develop. If you do get the constant accusations, use the testing cheats to delete the moodlet and then pull the relationship bars back up on the Sims you care about. Sometimes if you delete the Sim with the "evil" trait from your game that slows it down too.

    Does your sim have the flirty trait? Sometimes when other townies constantly try and give your sim flowers that can happen. I have MC and SP so I just disabled being falsely accused.

    Yeah, SP actually will let you disallow false accusations by age type as well as by disgrace type. If you don't think a divorce should be a scandal, you can tell SP that. You can also set the chance that a true disgrace will be spotted and reported, as well as how much relationship damage the accusation will do, if any. ;)

    Take a look at your sim's friend list. Anyone whom you don't want to bother having to interact with on a regular basis to maintain a very high relationship - cheat the friendship bars down.

    Stick to a select few friends, don't make many. I've found that whenever a relationship deteriorates to 'lost a friend' status, I get a lot of those false accusations. It's too easy to make friends in this game, and too easy to lose them.

    I also remove celebrity status now whenever it's earned.
