So...How much cc does everyone have?

I suppose I am a crazy person but I have 17GB in my mods folder.. Let me also mention that I play on laptop with high graphics settings and use ReShade.

CAS is entirely problem-free for me and is very smooth, building tends to be just fine too but sometimes it slows down a bit or freezes for a bit in live mode. Often that problem is fixed once I save. But I do try to steer away from making huge builds filled with loads of clutter because those lots can be a bit rough in live mode.

@Breazona I keep all CC in my game all the time. My game runs relatively smoothly for exactly one reason: it's a lot of GBs, but not a lot of individual items. Loading a ton of individual package files is what the game hates. So, simply, my secret is merging files with heaven sent CC Magic. :wink:

I'd be a liar if I said my game was the smoothest ever. It would, undoubtedly, run better without the CC. But with the CC it's not as laggy as you might think it is. And I can, typically, play for hours without it crashing. And um *cough* to be fair, my game wouldn't crash at all if EA would be so kind as to give us Windows users a 64-bit version of TS3, because my crashes are always memory related. :( Simply, a game with, what, 12 years of modded content in it just can't function reliably when only allotted 4 GBs of my RAM.

ooh I assumed 4 because I mostly see you over in that section of the forums! There's lots of really lovely converters of 4t3 which isn't something I ever thought I'd want in my game but some of the s4 items look very lovely in 3.

Honestly just find some simblrs whose style you like and look at their resources/wcif page! Some of my favorite max match stuff is honestly just maxis stuff retextured and without the weird accesories they loved putting all over everything during sims 3.

Thus far I have only have a few sets left. Chest hair, skin tones and some furniture. I started downsizing Sims 3 when 4 came out. ??‍♂️.

Oh I tend to play both games these days although my interest in the Sims 4 is lessening over this last year or so and I find myself enjoying the older games more. Thank you so much for the link, I'm sure it will be very useful.

Well, the game folder that's supposed to have a minimal amount of cc installed says I have 3.61 GB ?
The game folder in which I like to play with cc says I have 6.66 GB ... uh this is worrisome in a way lol

Now in my external HDD that hadn't been updated in a while I have around 50 GB... I say around because I have other stuff like worlds, houses and community lots :sweat_smile:

In my mods folder I have 953MB of mods and cc. That's not a lot but my computer probably wouldn't be able to handle more.
