Anyone else wonder why there are 57 thousand types of foos ball tables in the sims but not one air hockey table or a board game or a simple card table (not the robotic casino tables, I have those, I mean to hang with friends playing cards) - I'm from MI, we all play Euchre here but my grandparents and parents use to play all sorts of card games. Half of my friends play board games irl (one of my friends even owns a combo coffee bar tabletop game shop/hangout called The Dragon's Roost - best place in the world <3 ) but they're markedly absent from the game. Not even bingo, and believe it or not there are giant groups of people who love to play bingo! (I don't, but they must be crawling out of the woodwork because half the churches I drive by have bingo nights every week! :lol: ) I mean I don't even own all of the ownable foos and I have 6! lol What about you? Any type of entertainment you're surprised isn't in the game?

There is one (up to) 4 person table game that I use frequently for family and group game night -- dominoes. It comes with Showtime, for whatever reason. Anyway, I see that one as a pretty good representative of board/card games. Other than that there's video games and pool (billiards). But I don't remember hanging out at my friends' houses shooting pool very much as a child, and the selections of video games we had back in the Stone Age before most houses had electricity game consoles was pretty limited. :) Bingo is another matter. I was lamenting the lack of that one back at NRaas not long ago and was thinking of it more as a community lot activity with a Role Sim calling the numbers, excitement builds as players get close to completing their card, and the winners get a cash prize or some small kitchen appliance that no one needs. Probably modding all of that in would be more complicated than just designing a whole new game or expansion pack to house it, though. :/

LOL, now those sound like fun. But TS3 does have vacuum cleaners, so there's an already in-game object (from Supernatural) just begging to be re-used for some purpose other than speedy transportation.

There are too many foos ball tables and too many arcade machines.

Card games or board games for at least 4 sims would be cool. The domino from Showtime looks interesting, but I don't care enough to buy that expansion. The Sims 2 had card games and even pick-up sticks:

@Keiomestre I liked the card table in sims 2, had my sims play it a lot, always put one in the pubs, and game rooms. I do wish they had kept that for Sims 3

On topic:

Ever since I played Sims 1 I have wished that lawn mowers and vacuum cleaners had been included in the sims games. I bet it would have been so cute and fun to see our little simmies use these 2 machines. And they should of course both have been recolorable, preferably 3-4 channels.

There should have been one smaller type of v-cleaner that could be operated with one hand, and a larger floor model, and the simmies could have listened to their favorite music while they vaccumed, just like people do in real life. :)

And also 2 different lawn mowers, the ordinary one that you push in front of you like a stroller, and even better, the big one that looks like a miniature tractor. Riding around in the garden on one of them would no doubt have filled the green fun meter for both the sim in question and the human player that's watching! :)

I'm just dropping by to say that every time I open the Sims 3 forum and see the thread title "Sooo maaanny foos" my first thought is "What is a foo?"

Still ticked that they didn't have an actual hockey rink with markings in the Sims 3 store. :growl: I'm Canadian. Every Canadian should have a hockey rink. :smirk:

I would have loved to see that ice skating rink turned into a hockey rink for amature hockey! Especially if kids could be included. I miss charades from Sims 1. Played it several times and it was funny. I'm kinda lukewarm about foos ball. Like the dominoes, though.
