Store Content Problems

I just got a new gaming laptop, and have been trying to get my Sims 3 game all installed and ready to play. This is my first experience with Windows 10, and I'm not liking it much. My desktop computer is unable to start Windows now, possibly due to corruption on the boot drive, so I can't get any files from it until it's repaired, or I'd use my backup Sims 3 folder.

Downloading my store content has been a huge hassle, but trying to install it has been even worse. Both tasks have involved a lot of closing and reopening both the launcher and the store pages, and multiple re-boots. I think most of it is installed now, though I don't feel completely sure of that. The one item that is giving me some serious trouble is the Tiny Prodigies Early Learning Center.

I installed it, and the downloads page had it grayed out and the symbol indicating it's installed, but it's not in the library at all. I checked the installed content in the launcher, and it was there, but it isn't in the game. I uninstalled it so i could try installing it again, but according to the download section in the launcher, it's already installed. It's not in the installed content section though, unless it's one of several items under lots that have no actual thumbnail, and only a number as their name.

I would appreciate any helpful suggestions.

I managed to fix the issue myself. It involved repeated downloads, because apparently downloading a whole page of store items at a time does not work well. Some selected items got skipped, some seemed to not be correctly downloaded. Anything that didn't have a proper thumbnail in the launcher didn't install. I downloaded those again, until I got all of them with a proper thumbnail. I now have all of my store content installed, unless I missed something. When my computer is repaired, I'll copy my entire downloads folder from there and compare to see what might be missing on my laptop.

Another thing I discovered, in case anyone else has issues with the store, is that if I do not allow the launcher to log in, I don't have the issue of downloads no longer starting unless I refresh the page, close and restart the launcher, or reboot my computer.
