Store venues content won't install.

I am issue. I've download all my Store content and only some installs.

Venues are a big issue for me. They don't install, so I had to do this method here and while the lots showed up the content that comes with it didn't show up. :(

It's really becoming annoying now. I'm figuring I should just go ahead and convert all of my store content into packages, or can anyone tell me how to fix this?

That method assumes the content from the Store venues has been successfully installed in your original Sims 3 folder, but the lot file itself is the problem. If the content of the venue isn't successfully installed then that method won't fully work for you. However, I'd keep the lot files you got from that method, rename them according to what venue they are,and set them aside. It might be useful to have them around.

First question, if you pull your TS3 folder to the desktop, let the game generate a new one, then download and install the venues, does the installation work? Is the venue content installed? Is the problem isolated to your current TS3 folder, or do you have the same problem with a brand new one? Once you have your answer you can delete that folder and replace your original TS3 folder.

If the problem is with your current folder, I would read through ciane's method to install Store content here and follow that procedure for the venues with your original TS3 folder (but back it up first). In a nutshell: First I'd uninstall all venues, then remove .ebc files, install the Store venues keeping an eye on file size of the .ebc files. Then rename them following the last number of the .ebc files in your DCCache folder, and add back your old .ebc files. This is essentially ciane's method but applied only to the Store venues not your entire Store purchases. If the lot files don't install you can use the ones you got from crinrict's method. Back up your DCCache folder (if not your entire TS3 folder) before attempting this method.
  • Hi @TreyNutz . Thank you so much for replying. I will try what you suggested this weekend or next week. I'm a bit busy. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I have questions, but I can't ask them right now. Hopefully I can this weekend.

@TreyNutz So I tested with the New Folder and the Venue's content installed so the issue is with the Original folder.

I guess I have to do ciane's method. Ugh! This is going to take forever, but I guess I have to. :(
