Ah, I see. If you haven't gotten the issue fixed yet, I just wanted to mention you can also use the reset sim on sims you don't control also. Or just type in resetsim and hit enter, this will reset all the sims in the game save that you are playing at once. It's also good for when you find sim in places they shouldn't be.
