Hi all,
Thanks for the feedback,
I have figured that if I replace my DCbackup and DCcache with standard empty folder versions the world exports without any of the CC, (and drops the world file size down by an extra 35MB). Therefore the world will be without any CC, and I think it should be without store content. I have tried my best to keep stuff pack items out of it aswell, (I might have missed some, or I might have succeeded).
I am of a mind to forego putting seasons lots in the world as that would mean I would have to get the 1.42 update and run the risk of being inflicted with the associated CAW problems people have been experiencing. The worst being unable to export the world. There are two free 64x64 lots, as well as several other sizes that people could place them on.
This being the case I might post up the world this weekend - but in its current form it will only of had limited play testing by me, so it would need to be considered as a Beta build. I still have two lots to put the finishing touches on, and think of and name the city streets, (for the lots). I will be adding a beautiful vista lot mood bonus for the city lots.
I decided to go with unpopulated and then to provide a save game file, (if I can sort out how to get it hosted on mediafire or the like), with the residents from EA worlds, (mostly sunset Valley and Bridgeport). Since there are around 190 lots total, (thats residential and commercial lots), having all the residential lots used would likely cause lag problems. Users would be advised to be more selective and perhaps evict a few families so performance doesnt suffer.
Oh, and I dont think I mentioned it before but there are a few doubles of rabbitholes, which from my reading doesn't seem to cause problems, (you can assign individual sims work places, and schools so they don't travel across town when living right next to /near the same type), however the jury was out on City Hall, thus the only City Hall is on the city Island. However rather than leave a big gaping hole in the old township I made a replica that sims can still visit, (it houses the vault of antiquity inside it, as well as a library type area and office). You could indeed remove the vault and place it on another lot, then re-zone it to make it your own super mansion :) One difference is there's no clock faces on the tower so I can keep the world CC free, (I did add a white wagon wheel afterwards to give it a litte change to break up the brick).
