Surnames and Pet Names, Oh My...

There is a test that can be used to see if the pet name one is considering is going to work well in real life, seems like it should apply here. Imagine for a moment that your pet (is not aquatic and) has run off or flown away. You are systematically going through the neighborhood calling out its name and asking everyone you meet if they have seen your (fill in the name here). Do you feel foolish doing this?

Many of the food names above are seem great to me, but I'm afraid Banana and a small number of the others fail the above test. ;)
