- I think it might just be random in some cases, as my eldest of five children went to his prom, and his younger twin sisters' prom...but the two children after that didn't even have proms. All of them are adults-elders with children of their own so I'm waiting for another prom to happen.
- I think also there might be an option to make prom happen more frequently with some aspect of the nraas story progression mod...but I have not tried it myself yet. I tend to leave the mods settings what it came with.
- I think, at least in my experience, the prom occurs multiple times in a Sims Teens life based on the length of your sim teen years. My sims teen years are quite long so I'll get the option for Prom twice during their teenhood but will only send them once because...it's prom. It's a one time thing.
- my one sim actually went to prom twice and was prom queen both times have it on the longest lifespan but other sim games my teens have not had the opportunity to go
- yep 2 weeks. i have my teens set to 16 days i've had more than 1 set have 2 proms. i play a custom life span because i hate babies to be there longer than the minimum.
- My teens don't go to prom its very rare for mine to get to go but not knowing I expanded the lifespan of teens since teens are now my favorite and now my teens get invited to prom.
- KarinLNew SpectatorIt is every two weeks, so if your teens have a lifespan of less than 14 days they could miss out. Most of my teens get two, sometimes three proms, because I have a longer lifespan.
They don't need to have dates - sometimes they actually fall in love at the prom. A lot of my Sims meet their future spouses at the prom. - Thank you guys for all these tips! I have made my teenager's life span longer, I hope it will let her go to prom! I'll send back to you guys on the results!
- Just a note to anyone who doesn't like/want their teen(s) to get that random romantic event at prom. With testingcheats enabled, you can slide the relationship bar into a negative (dislikes) and back to its original position, will remove the 'Romantic Interest' heart from that Sim. They will then no longer be romantically involved. This must be done as soon as the event occurs and don't let the two interact romantically before doing so.
