The Cowboy and the Mermaid
The sparring match is over. Dwight got two hits in to Lorelei's zero. He has an advantage in that his general athletic skill is much higher than hers. The Master tells them to soak their muscles and then go sight seeing. He expects them to return in the morning. Lorelei and Dwight find the hot tub at the bottom of a set of stairs. The quickly change and enjoy the warmth of the waters seeping into the muscles they used this morning.

They walk to the overlook after finishing their soak. Lorelei points out a few of the places to visit that she read about.

The Scholars Garden is just down the road from the academy. They walk over to it and watch the huge koi and goldfish swimming in the waters. Dwight pauses to look through a telescope and Lorelei wanders up ahead and sits on a bench where she has a perfect view of Dwight. The gardens are peaceful and Lorelei thinks it would make a great place to sit and read her new books.

Hunger sends them back to town and they try one of the local specials. Two huge heaping plates of eggrolls and rice are served and they both eat every bite.

Back at the hostel they exchange gifts. The thank yous for the gifts end in the way all honeymoon hugs should end.

Dwight had to try his new guitar and Lorelei her new typewriter. (she still freaks because it is just a reskinned puter, but am ignoring that part...lol)
