The Cowboy and the Mermaid

Hydration is needed for Lorelei scales so she swims out to sea and back. The fates will not allow her to dive while she is pregnant so she stays close to the shore and swims long enough until her scales no longer feel as if they are drying out. She could have swam in the pool, but, her mermaid instinct pulls her to the sea if she has not been in seawater in a few days. If she stays away from the sea too long, she could become fully human.

While she showers and changes, Dwight starts the grill and makes hamburgers and hot dogs to be ready to serve to the guests.

The only thing Lorelei has ever cooked is a few sweets, so she makes some organic chocolate chip cookies. Hopefully a few of those will be eaten.

She rocks in the big rocking chair enjoying the comfort and motion thinking about their baby. Eventually she decides to get up and relax at the pool to wait for the guests.

Dwight dives into the pool testing the water which is warm and soothing on this hot day. He comes up next to where Lorelei is sitting. "You need anything?" Lorelei tells him she is fine except she is not sure how she will ever get up off the lounger with her huge belly in the way.
"That's what I am for! To help you get up so you don't have to struggle and hurt your back."

Logan and Jules are the first to arrive and sit and chat with Dwight and Lorelei as they wait for the other guests.

Logan decides to check out the slide while Jules dives into the water.

Papaya arrives even though he was not on the guest list. He came to the wedding as well even though not invited. Lorelei smiles at him with her good nature and tells him to have fun. Pearl has arrived and Lorelei greets her best friend with a hug. "Gosh a couple of days go by without seeing you and your belly explodes!" Pearl exclaims with a laugh. She touches Lorelei's belly and tells her friend that she is so very happy for her.

Logan made a beeline for Pearl. The do seem to be attracted to each other!

These two were invited but never came to the pool area. She ended up changing into a work outfit for the chef career and leaving, and I think he just got bored and left.

Jules invited Clementine to play a game of Gnubb and they walk to the play area. Papaya is laughing at someone, not sure who though. I think he might be insane or childish?

Suzuki had a bit of a crush on Lorelei at one time, but he's just friendly now. He's still dating various ladies on the island. He's thinking about Jaila, Lorelei and Dwight's mermaid friend who just arrived with Jarrett, her husband. Dwight goes to greet them. Jarrett is thinking of Lorelei and goes over to greet her after shaking Dwight's hand and congratulating him on the new house and the soon to be baby. Jarrett hugs Lorelei and tells her he is so happy for her and looks forward to meeting the baby.
