The Cowboy and the Mermaid

Logan and Jules quickly deliver the new items and help set up the larger nursery. Dwight settles Erin into her new crib as Lorelei has settled Eric and Austin. The new nursery has room for a rocker as well as the three cribs. Dwight spins Lorelei and kisses her as they listen to the coos and sounds of the babies. He sits in the rocker listening to his babies as Lorelei soaks in the tub to hydrate and relax after her morning delivering the babies.

They enjoy leftovers for lunch as the babies nap. They both make phone calls letting friends know about the birth of not one, but three babies. King Triton is thrilled and ready to make the journey to see the new babies. Lorelei convinces him to wait until they are a bit older and they are more settled into a routine.

The babies do what babies do best, sleep, eat, poop, pee and coo and totally enchant their loving parents. Lorelei gives Eric his first bath. She rocks him while Dwight feeds his sister Erin and gets her bathed and settled in her crib. Austin is already sound asleep in his crib.

A very tired Mom and Dad cuddle on the bed very briefly before falling into a sound sleep exhausted after the first day taking care of the triplets.

They make it through the first night with each baby waking up every few hours for feeding or changing. Dwight helps out with bottles as Lorelei is exhausted trying to keep up with breast feeding all three babies. Little Eric doesn't seem to mind the bottle his Daddy gives him and loves the quality rocking time as well.

The morning comes and they are both up, the babies asleep, perhaps long enough for them to greet the sunrise and eat a bite of breakfast.
