The next morning Dwight was getting dressed and noticed the little dragon egg that Rafe and Autumn gifted him was rocking. He walks over to it and the little egg rolls back and forth. He hears a distinctive crack and suddenly a tiny dragon pushes its way out of the shell. It is a beautiful purple dragon. It is named Kanth. Rafe had told Dwight what to do when the dragon hatched so he fed it some of the food he had kept stashed nearby and talked softly to it while it ate. The dragon makes soft guzzling sounds as it eats and tiny rumbley purrs as it rubs his head against Dwight's hand once he finishes eating.

Dwight walks outside to enjoy the sunrise and Kanth rides on his shoulder making the soft rumbley sounds. Lorelei joins him and congratulates him on the beautiful Kanth. They watch as the sun rises over the ocean. The waters seem to beckon Lorelei as the glow from the rising sun warms the air. Lorelei gives Dwight a kiss and wades out into the waters and changes her form. Dwight watches her swim out until she dives beneath the waters.

Back in the house, he puts the dragon down and fixes breakfast for him and the triplets. After breakfast Dwight reads to Austin while Erin plays with the peg box and Eric is banging on the xylophone.

Lorelei searches underwater to find the squid that the bistro has ordered. It is apparently becoming a very popular dish and they pay very well for each squid that she turns in. She enjoys a swim through one of the many caves on the ocean floor. She is rewarded with a few shells that she will turn into the science lab when they next request them. She finds two squid and another nautilus shell and swims back to shore to take the squid to the bistro and receive her payment.

Lorelei arrives home and tells KoolAid about the dragon named Kanth and hopes he won't be jealous. KoolAid assures her sprites are not designed to be jealous. She finds Dwight and the triplets outside. Eric and Austin are in the wading pool and Erin is riding the tricycle. Dwight kisses her goodbye as she settles at the table to read a recipe book while the kids play. Dwight is off to find the lost book.
